THE JOY OF SMALL CITIES tijdens Let's Gro

Groningen is waking up to the fact that it is an international city. Yes! this brings great new energy and new opportunities to the city. It also brings new questions....

THE JOY OF SMALL CITIES want to provoke discussion on what makes Groningen attractive in an international context. Groningen usually views itself in a national context, in which it often has a negative self-image (the 'Calimero ' complex). But viewed globally Groningen might have many attractive aspects which local residents may not see or undervalue. As the city becomes more international and more globally oriented, the city will start to view itself differently. THE JOY OF SMALL CITIES would like to catalyse this self-reflection and lead to a positive globally oriented self-image for the city.

A stellar cast of local-global superstars reflect on what makes Groningen a great small city in a big world. Co-hosted with Lior Steinberg of LVBLCITY. Get your free ticket here or see details ont he Let's Gro site.
